Current pay rates vary based on years of experience, county of employment, and educational qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the NC Pre-K Lead Teacher in overseeing classroom activities
  • Adhere to standards set by the NC Division of Child Development and Early Education
  • Align with the objectives of the current NC Pre-K Curriculum
  • Contribute to creating a nurturing and positive atmosphere for children and their families
  • Help forge strong, supportive relationships with children and families
  • Assist in planning and implementing learning experiences that promote developmental domains such as physical health, social-emotional growth, cognitive abilities, and creative expression
  • Observe and assess children's development
  • Aid in customizing the curriculum to meet the unique needs of each child
  • Support the mission to guide young learners toward achieving their School Readiness Goals
