About the role

We are seeking passionate educators like YOU to assist the NC Pre-K Lead Teacher in overseeing classroom activities, adhering to standards set by the NC Division of Child Development and Early Education, and aligning with the objectives of the current NC Pre-K Curriculum. In this supportive role, you'll contribute to creating a nurturing and positive atmosphere for children and their families, helping to forge strong, supportive relationships. Your involvement will be crucial in assisting with the planning and implementation of learning experiences that promote various developmental domains, such as physical health, social-emotional growth, cognitive abilities, and creative expression. You'll also play a key role in observing and assessing the children's development, aiding in the customization of the curriculum to meet the unique needs of each child.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to creating a nurturing and positive atmosphere for children and their families
  • Aid in the planning and implementation of learning experiences that promote various developmental domains
  • Assist with the customization of the curriculum to meet the unique needs of each child
  • Observe and assess the children's development

Requirements

  • Passionate about early childhood education
  • Ability to work effectively with children and families
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with children in a classroom setting preferred

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certification
  • Knowledge of NC Pre-K Curriculum and standards

Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to observe and assess children's development

  • Pay: 16-19 per hour, based on experience and education
