NC/CNC Machine Set-Up & Operate - 3rd Shift

Job Summary

What You'll Do

• Plan and perform setups and machining operations on various machine shop equipment.
• Select tools, feeds and speeds based on material and finish requirements.
• Square up and layout production runs or special castings for machining to close tolerances.
• Work with a variety of metals including steel, iron, brass, bronze, and aluminum.
• Layout, machine, fit, and assemble jigs and fixtures to facilitate machining operations.
• Determine operation sequences, make computations for dividing head, angles, tapers, fits, and assembly.
• Check parts for adequate finish allowance, defective material, or faulty operation.
• Maintain equipment, machines, and work area in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum three years of previous work experience in NC/CNC setup and operation.
