Navajo Remote Interpreter

About the role

Certified Languages International (CLI) stands at the forefront of world‑class interpreting services since its inception in 1996. Thousands of organizations rely on CLI to communicate with Limited English Proficient (LEP) speakers. The position is 100% over‑the‑phone interpretation, with a high volume of medical calls across industries such as insurance, finance, utilities, customer service, and state courts. CLI engages freelance interpreters (independent contractors) who work from home and set their own schedules, providing service 24/7 via an online portal or landline telephone.

Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (SSN or EIN and a photo ID are required).
• Must reside in the United States.
• CLI is not currently recruiting interpreters in California, New Jersey, or New York; applicants from these states should not apply.

Pay

Interpreters are paid on a per‑minute basis for every minute spent on the phone interpreting. Pay is issued twice a month, on the 15th and the last day of the month, via direct deposit.

Schedule

Work‑from‑home role allowing you to set your own schedule. CLI’s clients require interpreting services 24/7, so you can log on and off at any time using the online portal or a landline telephone.
