Position Summary

Reporting directly to the Head of School, the Director of Secondary Academics serves as the instructional leader for grades 6–12, providing leadership for faculty, curriculum, and school culture while fostering an environment where both students and teachers thrive.

This role is primarily focused on developing and coaching teachers, strengthening instructional excellence, and continually advancing Trinity Prep’s academic program.

Because Trinity Prep is a University-Model® school, experience with homeschooling — or a genuine appreciation for the homeschool community — is highly valued. The ideal candidate embraces the unique opportunity to partner closely with parents as co-educators in the academic and spiritual development of their children.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, coach, and evaluate middle and high school faculty.
  • Conduct classroom observations, faculty development plans, and provide ongoing professional development.
  • Supervise classroom procedures, educational support services, and academic programs.
  • Collaborate with leadership, teachers, and parents to promote student success.
  • Build and support a Christ-centered culture that reflects Trinity Prep’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Oversee curriculum implementation, instructional excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Recruit, interview, and recommend outstanding faculty candidates.
  • Manage faculty and curriculum budgets while supporting accreditation standards and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

  • A vibrant and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Passion for Christian education and partnering with families.
  • Successful school leadership experience.
  • Strong background in curriculum, instruction, and teacher development.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead with humility, wisdom, grace, and accountability.

The Ideal Candidate

Trinity Prep is looking for a servant leader who:

  • Inspires and develops teachers.
  • Buils strong relationships with leadership, faculty, students, families, and staff.
  • Values academic excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Effectively communicates with wisdom, integrity, and compassion.
  • Understands and appreciates the homeschooling community.
  • Desires to make a lasting Kingdom impact through Christian education.

Why Trinity Prep?

Join a thriving Christian school community committed to equipping minds and discipling hearts. At Trinity Prep, you will have the opportunity to make a lasting Kingdom impact by investing in students, developing exceptional teachers, and helping shape the future of Christian education.

In 2026, Trinity Prep was recognized as a Best Christian Workplace, reflecting its commitment to cultivating a Christ-centered culture where faculty are valued, encouraged, and equipped to flourish both professionally and personally.
