About the role
We are seeking energetic, passionate people who want to play a key role as a Natural Resources Engineer 2 within the Division of Mineral Resources Management, headquartered in Guernsey County, Ohio.
Responsibilities
- Work under the general direction of a registered professional engineer
- Perform design calculations
- Utilize Computer Aided Drafting Design (CADD) to assist with design work
- Prepare construction plans for Abandoned Mine Land (AML) reclamation projects
- Obtain and/or assist staff in obtaining applicable permits
- Conduct inspection oversight of AML project construction as needed
Requirements
- Starting hourly pay of $34.53/hr with multiple pay increases over your first 7.5 years of service, with an end salary of $50.66/hr.
- There may also be cost of living adjustments (COLA) applied.
- Longevity pay supplements begin after five (5) years of state service.

Qualifications
- Engineering degree from a recognized school or college which has been accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET)
- A valid certificate as Engineer-In-Training issued by the State Licensing Board
- One year of engineering-related experience

Pay
