National Sales Manager- Armorite Trim

Provide leadership for the sales teams in support of all market channels serviced by the Roseburg Commercial organization. The National Sales Manager will drive sales goals, product profitability, customer relationships, and cross-functional collaboration to meet business objectives, including strategic sales planning and new product launches.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day leadership of the outside sales team to achieve volume, return, and profitability targets.
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies aligned with business segment goals.
  • Own strategic planning and execution for new products, supporting the new product development team.
  • Lead commercialization of new product launches for assigned segments.
  • Develop and maintain high-level relationships with key customers.
  • Create sales plans and customer account plans for assigned products.
  • Collaborate with inside sales teams and cross-functional sales managers/directors.
  • Provide sales reporting to support cross-functional communication.
  • Oversee training and education of the sales team on all products and market channels.
  • Perform administrative functions, including reviews, budgeting, expense management, compensation, and hiring.
  • Manage talent, including performance assessments, professional development, and succession planning.
  • Conduct quarterly, annual, or interim reviews and evaluations.
  • Motivate and direct team members without direct hierarchical control.
  • Communicate company strategy and direction effectively across teams and client organizations.
  • Foster a customer-centric culture, ensuring high-value time and asset management.

  • Assist in developing and executing sales/marketing strategies, new products, and programs aligned with plant capabilities and market needs.
  • Ensure alignment of strategies and policies with overall company goals.
  • Support collaboration between sales and operations through cross-functional meetings.
  • Understand and drive segment profitability, adjusting sales strategies to meet financial commitments.
  • Collaborate with Credit/AR for client approvals and credit limits.
  • Contribute to sales and operations planning, forecasts, and brand awareness initiatives.
  • Build relationships between customers, sales teams, mill personnel, and management.
  • Develop and execute sales tactics to promote growth and improve profitability.
  • Maintain awareness of day-to-day client relationships, including ordering, shipments, and claims.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum ten (10) years of experience in building products sales and/or sales leadership.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, or related field.
  • Proven leadership of a business and/or team, with demonstrated ability to motivate and drive results.
  • Ability to develop and execute sales plans, delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Strong verbal, interpersonal, and facilitation skills for leading group meetings.
  • Collaborative mindset with the capacity to challenge the status quo and implement change.
  • Experience leading outside sales teams, developing sales strategies, and customer account planning.
  • Ability to develop pricing strategies across business segments and products.
  • Positive demeanor and ability to function effectively within a team.
  • Critical thinking, numerical analysis, and understanding of business finances to ensure profitability.
  • Willingness to travel overnight approximately 50% of the time, scaled as needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Excellent professional, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency, self-motivation, and organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret, and utilize business intelligence data for decision-making.
  • Experience with best practices in sales and operations excellence.
  • Talent management experience, including performance management, development, incentives, and succession planning.
  • Advanced leadership and sales training.
