National Logistics IT Manager

About the role

The National Contract Logistics Information Technology Manager serves as the primary interface between the Contract Logistics National and Global Organizations and local business operations teams. In this role, you will provide functional, technical, and operational expertise for WMS projects nationwide, support contract logistics presales activities, and drive the adoption and implementation of standardized systems. You will specify and validate requirements with operational teams and act as the design lead for complex implementations, fostering a continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide process definition and improvement for current and future WMS operations.
• Act as Design Lead and/or vet new WMS implementations in accordance with KN Standards, including Computer System Validation where appropriate.
• Drive Partner Management, including scope definition, SLAs/KPIs, finance, and partner consultant evaluations.
• Provide technical expertise around products, integrations, and advanced warehousing concepts/functionalities.
• Offer direct systemic functional and technical support to the national CL IT Support team and operations as needed.
• Oversee, mentor, and develop the CL IT Implementation team to support the complete WMS portfolio, executing client implementations and internal strategic/change management initiatives.
• Inform strategy with global and regional resources to ensure national and regional requirements are built into global solutions.
• Ensure integration points, methods, and solutions align with regional/global strategy and can become best practices within the country.
• Drive conformance to Contract Logistics guidelines and CTI project methodology.
• Manage the configuration and deployment of new WMS instances to meet operational design requirements within standard WMS functionality.
• Coach team members to specify high-quality Functional and Technical Requirements Specifications to address functional gaps in the product.
• Account management of agreed operational accounts, including periodic reviews, improvements, IT Service Management, and roadmaps.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in transportation, warehousing, and/or supply chain management, ideally in 3PL with a focus on technical solutions, including warehouse management systems, transportation management systems, warehouse automation solutions, order management systems, and/or Enterprise Application Integration tools.
• 3 years of team management/leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Management, or equivalent experience in a Contract Logistics environment.
• Solid knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), and integration capabilities & logic.
• Knowledge of the 3PL industry and its solutions landscape.
• Strong integration (EDI/API) experience with warehouse applications.
• Technical understanding of warehousing system logic, shop floor processes, and device management capabilities.
• Solid analytical abilities and experience in problem-solving, project management, and process improvement.
• Proven ability to define customer requirements, with excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills.
• Experience actively managing internal and external customers, suppliers, and partners.

Pay

The target base salary range for this position is between $160,000 and $170,000. Individual pay may vary based on experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
