National Instrument and Electrical Technician

Location: Dayton, OH (AMG) - ASU. 50% travel required, with a focus on Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky, and occasional support for other national sites.

About the role

The Instrument and Electrical Technician is responsible for the operation, control, care, and maintenance of equipment used in the air-separation process, including plant mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical devices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot instrumentation systems and calibrations in accordance with manufacturers' instructions, local work instructions, and governing regulations.
• Install, maintain, adjust, and repair manual, pneumatic, electric, and electronic measuring, recording, and regulating instrumentation.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and perform preventative inspections on mechanical equipment and systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems in accordance with manufacturers' instructions, local work instructions, and governing regulations.
• Maintain quality control and quality assurance equipment, including process analyzers and gas chromatographs.
• Maintain calibration standards, including inspection, testing, and measuring equipment, as well as calibration gas cylinders.
• Perform routine and non-routine analytical calibrations and adjustments.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and perform maintenance on compressors, pumps, turbines, valves, motors, and other plant equipment.
• Demonstrate commitment to safety.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of experience maintaining instrumentation and electrical systems in technical processes within an industrial environment.
• Experience with Field Communicator devices, such as a Hart Communicator.

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include a minimum of two years of college, technical school, or military technical experience.

Pay

• $37–$40 per hour, depending on experience.
• 7% annual bonus.
• 50% travel referral bonus.
