About the role
We’re seeking a dedicated Instrument and Electrical Technician to support safe, reliable operations at our Clairsville/Flushing, OH site. Responsibilities
- Maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair process instrumentation, electrical equipment, and automation controls in compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Support Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), and related field devices
- Minimize downtime, support plant startups and shutdowns, and participate in safety and change management processes
- Collaborate across teams to enhance unit stability and performance
- Assist in incident investigations and support cybersecurity protocols
- Document maintenance activities thoroughly
Requirements
- Proven experience in instrumentation, electrical, or industrial automation in a manufacturing or process environment
- Strong knowledge of process instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, level, analytical)
- Hands-on experience with automation platforms such as Honeywell, Emerson, Siemens, Rockwell, or similar
- Understanding of electrical systems including motors, MCCs, and VFDs
- Ability to troubleshoot complex equipment and control systems efficiently
- Familiarity with industrial communication systems, SCADA, and field devices (e.g., ABB TotalFlow, Fisher ROC)
- Competence in safe work practices, including Lock Out/Tag Out procedures
- Good communication skills and team-oriented mindset
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Willingness to support on-call work and emergency response as needed
- Physical ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to work within a team environment, interface with vendors, and adhere to safety protocols and site standards
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience with industrial communication equipment like FreeWave, Cambium, Ubiquiti, XetaWave, and ABB systems
- Knowledge of oil and gas production equipment and field operations
- Ability to work at heights and outdoors in extreme temperatures
- Certification for working at heights and fall protection
- Experience supporting emergency responses and working flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Education And Experience
- Technical diploma or associate degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Electrical Technology
- At least 3 years of experience in a related industrial automation or instrumentation role
