National Accounts Manager
Position Overview
The National Accounts Manager “NAM” reports to the President/CEO and is responsible for developing, managing, and growing strategic customer relationships across multiple regions and industries. This role focuses on driving national business growth through cross-functional collaboration, strategic selling, contract negotiation, and superior client service. The National Accounts Manager serves as the single point of contact for key national customers and ensures service-delivery excellence by coordinating internally across Sales, Operations, Finance, Waste Services, Remediation, Safety, and Compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive revenue, margin, and service growth across targeted national accounts.
- Serve as the lead point of contact for all national account matters, ensuring consistent communication and satisfaction.
- Identify, pursue, and close multi-site opportunities in target markets including manufacturing, tech, life sciences, energy, and logistics.
- Collaborate with regional Operational Team Member and Business Development Managers (BDMs) and branch operations to implement national account strategies.
- Lead contract negotiations, RFP responses, and pricing proposals in coordination with legal and finance teams.
- Maintain an expert understanding of customer needs, waste streams, service lines, and regulatory requirements.
- Utilize CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot) to track pipeline activity and report on performance.
- Conduct regular business reviews with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure program alignment and satisfaction.
- Coordinate onboarding, implementation, and ongoing support for new accounts.
- Monthly reporting on national sales strategy and results to the President/CEO.
- Provide operational support related to their expertise as required.
- Travel as required to support site visits, client meetings, and relationship development (up to 50%).

- Working knowledge of environmental compliance, waste classification, and service delivery models is a plus.
- Possesses strong knowledge of all company service lines and is capable of effectively introducing and articulating their value to clients and prospects.
- Strategic and consultative selling.
- Ability to upsell and cross-sell multiple industry service lines.
- Knowledge of environmental core services [Haz-Mat Industry Related]: Emergency Response, Hazardous Waste Management, Remediation, Field Services. Understanding of hazardous, non-hazardous and universal waste management.

Education and Experience Required
- A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- 5+ years of experience in National Accounts Sales, Key Account Management, or similar role, preferably in the Environmental Services, Industrial Services, or Waste Management industries required.
- A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.
