National Account Manager, Federal Government

About the role
As a National Account Manager for Spectrum Business, you will guide clients through the selection of voice, data, video, Managed Security, and Managed Network services. Spectrum Business provides modern enterprise technology solutions tailored to the unique needs of some of the country’s biggest brands. You will partner with Federal Government agencies, highlighting how Spectrum Business solutions simplify their technology needs. After completing award-winning training, you will proactively acquire new accounts, convert them into long-term clients, and prepare them for upsell.
Responsibilities
- Complete a 10-week paid sales training program recognized with a Brandon Hall Group gold award for excellence in Best Advance in Sales Enablement and Performance Tools.
- Develop and implement sales plans for assigned portfolios, including clearly defined strategies.
- Consult with established and prospective clients to develop product solutions.
- Engage clients with comprehensive account management, face-to-face needs analysis, and product proposals and presentations.
- Operate in a field-based sales role with fluidity between home, client locations, and office locations, primarily focusing on client-facing activities.
- Identify markets, industries, and contacts for a product portfolio by implementing a strategic sales plan.
- Self-generate leads through industry networking, prospecting, and working defined named account lists.
Requirements
- Ten or more years of experience selling to Federal government agencies either directly or through partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain security clearance.
- Knowledge of LAN, WAN, high-capacity networks, and fiber-connected networks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, closing, and English communication skills.
- Ability to quickly learn new concepts and technologies.
- Availability to travel to and from assigned territories and company facilities.
- Valid driver’s license.
Pay
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $99,900.00 and $163,300.00. The actual compensation offered will consider factors such as skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Certain positions are eligible for additional incentive-based compensation, such as bonuses. This role also has a commission earnings target starting at $70,000.
