NAM Operations Director
About the role
The Director, Operations for the Naval Air Missiles (NAM) portfolio at Raytheon is responsible for leading end-to-end operational execution across major missile programs including Tomahawk, AIM-9X, JSOW, and NSM. This role ensures that programs meet production, quality, cost, and delivery objectives while driving significant operational scale-up, with production increasing across multiple facilities. The position partners closely with senior RTX leadership, government stakeholders, VP-level customers, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with a rapidly growing portfolio. The role operates in a high-visibility, high-pressure environment requiring exceptional leadership and innovation capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Program Management, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Engineering, Quality, Production Control and Procurement to ensure successful supplier/factory management and execution in supporting program needs and requirements
- Long range planning, AOP responsibility and generation, Quarterly EAC review’s, and Risk & Opportunity Management
- Monitor and manage key performance metrics including Hours Per Unit (HPU) and On-Time Delivery (OTD)
- Customer Proposal & Gate Review Support
- Develop and execute operations strategies which support Customer requirements and meet Program objectives
- Issue/Conflict resolution within organizations, between organizations and with suppliers and/or customers
- Travel domestically/internationally, as required
- Lead a team of Operations Managers
Qualifications
- A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years experience
- Experience managing production deliveries and performing Estimate at Complete (EAC) activities
- Professional experience leading a defense production program within an operations environment
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
