About the role

We are looking for a skilled and adaptable Nails Substitute Teacher to join our educational team. In this role, you will step in as needed to provide instruction in nail technology, ensuring that students continue to receive a high-quality education in the absence of their regular teacher. You will maintain a positive learning environment and motivate students to engage with their coursework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in nail technology, covering both theoretical knowledge and practical skills
  • Provide hands-on instruction and demonstrations of various nail care techniques
  • Support student learning by offering constructive feedback and guidance on their performance
  • Foster a respectful and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes creativity and collaboration
  • Adapt lesson plans to meet the needs of diverse learners and ensure alignment with the curriculum
  • Enforce safety and sanitation practices in line with industry standards

Requirements

  • Valid Cosmetology License and Nail Technician License in the state of Indiana
  • Prior experience in the nail industry with a demonstrated skill set is required
  • Teaching or substitute teaching experience is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to student success and the ability to create a positive learning environment
  • Flexibility to work on an as-needed basis, with availability for various shifts

Pay

The expected salary range for this position is between $22.00 and $24.00/hr. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
