Substitute Teacher

About the Role

The Special Education Paraprofessional assists the Special Education Teacher and classroom teachers in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) by providing instructional, behavioral, social-emotional, and personal support to students with disabilities.

The paraprofessional works collaboratively with school staff to promote student independence, inclusion, and success while maintaining a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Provide instructional, behavioral, social-emotional, and personal support to students with disabilities.
• Collaborate with Special Education Teachers and classroom teachers to promote student independence and inclusion.
