About the Role
Through subordinate activity managers, the incumbent is responsible for the overall management and direction of the Directorate, Morale Welfare and Recreation (DMWR) Support Division at a small/medium garrison. This includes oversight of various programs and operations such as:
- NAF Financial Management
- Marketing
- NAF Major Construction (Requirements Determination)
- Private Organization
- Commercial Sponsorship
- NAF Property Management
- Internal Review/Management Controls
Directs and develops finance and accounting operations, including receipt, distribution, and accounting for NAF funds. Maintains accounts showing the status of installation allotments, assets, and liabilities. Reviews and evaluates program plans to ensure objectives are met economically with reference to budget and manpower. Serves on activity councils to stay informed of operations and coordinate programs. Acts as the garrison focal point for DMWR Support Management policies and practices. Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and direct DMWR Support Division operations at a small/medium garrison.
- Manage NAF financial and accounting operations, including fund distribution and status tracking.
- Evaluate program plans to ensure economic and efficient use of budget and manpower.
- Serve on activity councils to coordinate programs and stay informed of operations.
- Act as the garrison focal point for DMWR Support Management policies.
Requirements
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required.
- Must meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements for the position.
- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- Must satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks, including a Tier 1 background investigation.
- Must file a Confidential Statement of Affiliations and Financial Interest in accordance with AR 600-50.
Qualifications
Resumes must clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess:
- At least one year of work experience directing one or more DMWR Support Management programs for a garrison or similar civilian community. This experience must be clearly reflected on the resume at the time of application.
This job does not have an education qualification requirement.

Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs may be authorized based on a determination that a PCS move is in the Government's interest. Sunday premium pay and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
