NAEP: Assessment Coordinators / Administrators Needed

Job Summary

Sylvan Learning Center is seeking part-time instructors to help make learning personal and inspiring for students. The position involves teaching in a small group setting (4:1 ratio) using Sylvan curriculum, with minimal lesson planning provided by the SylvanSync program. Instructors are expected to be available 4-20 hours per week, typically from 3:30-7:30 Monday-Thursday and Saturdays 9:00-1:00.

Responsibilities

• Teach using Sylvan based programs
• Supervise, interact with, and motivate students during instruction time
• Reward students for completed assignments
• Evaluate and document student progress
• Communicate student needs to center directors
• Develop rapport with students and maintain a fun learning environment
• Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching and Sylvan

Requirements

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt to different learning styles
• Basic computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
• Experience working with children or education background is beneficial

Pay

$15.00 per hour
