Major Duties

  • Affords students and alumni assistance with resume, cover letter, and thank you letter development and revision.
  • Assists students in mock interviews and career exploration activities.
  • Counsels students on career decision-making across various majors.
  • Instructs students on using Career Services software and job search strategies.
  • Schedules and conducts classroom presentations.
  • Leads special projects such as teaching a Career Readiness class, maintaining the experiential learning program, conducting departmental assessments, and coordinating the Outcomes Survey.
  • Answers questions and provides information to prospective employers.
  • Markseting Career Services and programs to employers.
  • Schedules career services content for university classes and promotes career events and workshops to students and faculty.
  • Marks the experiential learning program to business, government, and non-profit employers.
  • Attends on- and off-campus career and job fairs.
  • Distributes informational materials for Career Services programs, resources, and activities.
  • Analyzes job market trends to address market conditions.

Complexity/Scope of Work

The work involves diverse career counseling tasks. Frequent interruptions affect the complexity of the position. The purpose of this role is to offer career counseling services to students and alumni, aiding them in securing employment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Completion of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • At least one to two years of experience in a similar position or apprenticeship.
  • Ability to obtain a valid Oklahoma driver's license.

Pay and Benefits

Annual salary: $34,356.00 with comprehensive benefits, including ample leave time.
