Responsibilities
- Assess patient health by evaluating their physiological and behavioral health, monitoring vital signs, behavioral changes, and response to treatment.
- Administer medications safely and in accordance with prescribed treatment plans.
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and clinical staff to ensure appropriate treatment/discharge plan.
- Educate patients and families about addiction recovery and self-care practices.
- Document patient progress and maintain medical records with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Maintain a safe, structured environment that supports recovery and well-being and respects the dignity and diversity of all individuals.
- Complete documentation and follow procedures outlined in organizational policies and procedures.
- Perform CLIA waived testing.
Requirements
- Active LPN license in [state].
- Current BLS certification (or willingness to obtain during orientation).
- One year of experience in behavioral health, addiction treatment, or detox services is preferred.
- Phlebotomy skills preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and assessment skills to provide high-quality patient care.
- Knowledge of healthcare, detoxification process, addiction, co-occurring disorders, and DSM Criteria preferred.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a commitment to compassionate patient care.
