About the Role
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Unit Manager oversees daily supervision of licensed and non-licensed nursing staff in a long-term care setting.
Responsibilities
- Manage staff through evaluations, disciplinary actions, and coaching
- Ensure quality assurance and compliance with healthcare regulations
- Coordinate nursing services to maintain continuity of resident care
- Handle administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, and charting
- Make independent decisions and communicate effectively with staff, residents, families, and external agencies
Requirements
- Valid RN or LPN license for the practice state
- Preferably, 2+ years of supervisory experience in healthcare facilities
- Strong leadership, nursing knowledge, and administrative skills
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, nights, and weekends
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
