About the Role

The applicant will provide clinical coverage for musculoskeletal radiology, with expertise in all aspects of musculoskeletal imaging, particularly radiographs. Responsibilities include interpreting radiography and multimodality cross-sectional studies from outpatient services (orthopedics and primary care), emergency department, trauma, and inpatient services. The role also involves teaching and supervising medical students, residents, and fellows while working collaboratively in a diverse environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical coverage for musculoskeletal radiology, emphasizing radiographs.
  • Interpret multimodality cross-sectional imaging studies from outpatient, emergency, trauma, and inpatient services.
  • Teach and supervise medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse academic and clinical environment.
  • Analyze needs, establish priorities, and provide appropriate medical care and preventive services.
  • Utilize Electronic Medical Records software for documentation and patient care.

Requirements

  • Active and unrestricted California Medical License.
  • Active and unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Certification.
  • Board Certified in Medical Specialty.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or UC Davis Health CPR.
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Degree.
  • Completion of a US Residency Program.
  • Strong political and institutional acumen to navigate a complex public research university environment.
  • Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Meets credentialing and privileging standards for UCDHS medical staff.
  • This position is subject to a background check.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Radiology Subspecialty Fellowship Certification in Musculoskeletal Radiology.
  • Fellowship training in musculoskeletal radiology.
  • Expertise in advanced musculoskeletal radiology services, with an emphasis on radiographs.
  • Knowledge of University and campus policies and procedures.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills in large and small group settings.

Department Overview

The UC Davis Department of Radiology provides imaging and therapeutic procedures for patients across Northern California. Services include routine and specialized imaging, visceral and vascular interventions, and neuro-interventional procedures. Pay

Salary range: $530,000 - $545,000.

Schedule

Full-time (100% time), 8-hour shifts. This position is 100% remote.
