Municipal Law/Land Use Attorney

Key Responsibilities

• Advising public agencies on municipal, transactional, and land use matters.
• Serving as legal counsel to planning commissions, boards, and public bodies.
• Providing guidance on public agency compliance, governance, and regulatory requirements.
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements, ordinances, resolutions, and related legal documents.
• Attending and supporting planning commission, council, and board meetings as needed.
• Researching and analyzing legal issues affecting public agencies and municipal operations.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) and active license to practice law.
• 5+ years of experience representing public agencies in transactional, advisory, or municipal law matters.
• Experience advising planning commissions, boards, councils, or similar public bodies.
• Strong knowledge of public agency governance, land use, zoning, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and provide practical legal solutions.

Pay

$170,000 - $200,000 annually
