Muncipal Law Attorney

About the role

This position offers the opportunity to work directly alongside a senior partner who serves as Solicitor for multiple municipalities in the Akron area. The ideal candidate will be interested in municipal and public-sector law and eager to develop hands-on experience advising local governments on a wide range of legal matters.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with a partner serving as Solicitor to several municipalities advising them on governance, employment law issues, compliance, land use and zoning, contracts and regulatory matters.
• Attend council and board meetings as needed
• Conduct legal research and provide strategic counsel on public law issues
• Assist with litigation and administrative proceedings involving municipal entities

Requirements

We are seeking a motivated and collaborative Public Law Attorney with 2+ years of experience in municipal and public-sector law.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-approved law school, be licensed to practice law in Ohio, and possess excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

$100,000 - $115,000/annum
