Job Summary
The Clinic & Multi-Skilled Technician at North Mississippi Health Services is responsible for providing basic laboratory, radiology, and/or nursing procedures as directed and within scope of practice, assisting physicians and nurse practitioners, and ensuring the proper use and maintenance of laboratory/radiological equipment. Additionally, this role involves accurate recordkeeping and documentation, patient and family education, adherence to regulatory guidelines, and participation in performance improvement activities.
Patient Care
- Performs basic laboratory, radiology, and/or nursing procedures as directed and within scope of practice.
- Affixes to Physician/Nurse Practitioner as directed.
- Equipment maintenance: Responsible for proper use and maintenance of laboratory/radiological equipment.
- Recordkeeping/Documentation: Accurately and efficiently reports/documents patient care/status/information in medical record.
- Customer Service: Provides patient/family teaching necessary for continuing care during and after discharge.
- Maintains supplies necessary for quality patient care.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent or equivalent.
- Required Licenses and Certifications: Certified or Licensed as LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse), MLT (Medical Laboratory Tech), Medical Assistant, Registered Nurse or Radiological Tech, RT (Respiratory Therapy) with completion of program and appropriate education.
- Required Work Experience: Minimum of 1-year medical office or healthcare experience with laboratory/radiology training.

- Knowledge: Good written and verbal communication skills; working knowledge of basic computers and computer software.
- Abilities: Professionalism and personal integrity; organization and prioritization of work flow; compliance with regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines; independence and teamwork; extensive contact with: Patients, physicians, clinic personnel, family members and others; professional demeanor; patient confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
