Multimedia Technician
24-month contract with a potential for extension in San Antonio, TX. W2 contract, no PTO, no benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.
About the role
Primary responsibilities include the installation, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of audio and visual equipment, live broadcasting encoders, desktop computers, laptops, multifunctional printers, scanners, plotters, video conferencing equipment, and handheld mobile devices. Supports Energy client Board of Trustee meetings, forums, customer outreach events, and public input sessions. Provides setup, operation, and breakdown of audio and visual equipment for both internal and external events, including after-hours, weekends, and holidays. Assists with Corporate Communication and Public Relations events at Energy sites and other locations in San Antonio and surrounding service areas.
Responsibilities
- Supports Energy client's audio and visual needs for board meetings, corporate events, public relations, and onsite or remote meetings.
- Provides on-site and remote support for Tier 2 and Tier 3 audio/visual equipment, multifunctional printers, scanners, desktop, laptops, phones, and handheld devices.
- Performs routine maintenance and repairs on multifunctional printers, plotters, and scanners.
- Sets up, configures, and breaks down audio visual equipment such as projectors, mixers, microphones, and speakers.
- Reviews or creates process and end-user documentation for the installation, troubleshooting, and training of equipment.
- Prioritizes daily and weekly assigned tasks.
- Provides equipment relocation services for PC and MFP equipment.
- Maintains technical skills through independent research, training, and/or conferences.
- Identifies improvements in existing processes or procedures to increase efficiency.
- Schedules and coordinates with Energy client employees and vendors for the delivery and installation of A/V and printer equipment.
- Creates troubleshooting procedures, product use documentation, end-user training materials, and manages vendors.
- Stays current on recent industry-related technologies.
- Participates in call duty rotation to provide 24x7 support, if needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Entry-level experience in the setup, support, and maintenance of audio/visual equipment including LCD/LED TVs, projectors, and PA systems.
- Familiarity with working in a tiered support structure organization.
- Proven experience in the setup, support, and maintenance of multifunctional printers, scanners, and plotters.
- Ability to follow directions and analyze problems to deliver results.
- Basic knowledge of PC networking concepts and terminology, with familiarity of Windows Active Directory.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, and email.
- Valid Class C Texas Driver’s License with a favorable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher.
- A+ Certification, Networking+ Certification.
- Basic knowledge in the field of Audio/Visual.
- Basic knowledge in the field of reprographics.
Pay
$21.00 - $23.00/hr.
