We are seeking a Multi-Functional Manufacturing Supervisor to support the Forward Fuselage build area for the F-35 program. The selected candidate must be willing to work any shift, including potential shift rotations, weekend schedules, and required overtime to support production needs.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct a team of production employees, assigning tasks and ensuring proper execution.
  • Drive build plans and implement changes to improve quality, schedule adherence, and cost performance.
  • Foster a culture of First Time Right (FTR) and Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention.
  • Ensure that employees maintain required certifications for specialized tasks.
  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment, addressing any unsafe conditions promptly.
  • Enforce compliance with Core processes and program-specific procedures.
  • Proactively identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and technical competencies.
  • Collaborate with Labor Relations and Human Resources to address skill gaps, training needs, and employee engagement.
  • Manage more than one functional area of manufacturing, such as machining, assembly, tool and die, or packaging.
  • Coordinate subordinate employee recruitment, selection, training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.

Requirements

  • Experience leading teams in dynamic production/manufacturing environments, or related fields.
  • Experience with Aircraft maintenance or Aerospace manufacturing/production methodologies in a professional environment, or relevant experience.
  • Ability to work any shift as required, including weekend rotations and overtime.
  • Experience using tools and/or systems typically used in a production/manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with business metrics to drive performance (cost, schedule, and/or quality).
  • Proficiency in MS Office, mainly Teams, Outlook, and Excel.

Desired Skills

  • F-35 production experience or familiarity with aircraft assembly processes.
  • Experience managing in a union environment, working with Labor Relations and HR teams.
  • Knowledge of Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention and First Time Right (FTR) principles.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills to support employee development and engagement.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

For Washington state applicants only: Non-represented full-time employees accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) for incidental absences and receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full-time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month, up to 52 hours of sick leave annually, and receive at least 96 hours for holidays.

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $72,500.00 - $134,600.00. The salary offered considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, and market considerations.
