Description

Prepare detailed conceptual, schematic, design development, and final construction estimates for multifamily residential projects.

Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analyses from drawings, specifications, and project documents.

Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure accurate pricing and scope coverage.

Develop and maintain project budgets throughout the preconstruction process.

Identify value engineering opportunities and provide cost-saving recommendations without compromising quality.

Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, and project teams to evaluate design and budget impacts.

Analyze project plans, specifications, and site conditions to identify potential risks and cost exposures.

Aid in preparing bid packages, proposals, qualifications, and scope documents.

Track market pricing trends, labor rates, and material costs throughout South Florida.

Support project handoff meetings and provide estimating insights to operations teams upon project award.

Requirements

5+ years of estimating experience within multifamily or commercial construction.

Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building systems.

Proficiency with estimating software, Excel, and digital takeoff platforms.

Experience estimating ground-up multifamily, mixed-use, or podium-style developments preferred.

Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to manage multiple pursuits while meeting strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Professional Estimating Certification (PEC) preferred.

Pay

Competitive salary ranging from $130,000 to $180,000, depending on experience.
