Job Summary

i9 Sports is seeking a Multi-Sport Instructor to lead their weekend programs. This role involves teaching fundamental skills in a fun and engaging manner for young athletes.

About the Role

This position covers the North Cluster, which includes Rancho Cucamonga, Fontana, Ontario, Chino Hills, Eastvale, and Jurupa Valley. Assignment locations vary by season, requiring reliable transportation within the cluster.

Responsibilities

  • Youth Engagement: Keep 3–8 year olds focused and excited.
  • On-Field Instruction: Teach drills and fundamentals for Soccer, Flag Football, and Baseball (Basketball and Volleyball experience is a plus).
  • Game Day Logistics: Manage the setup and breakdown of equipment (setup/cleanup blocks count as one game toward compensation).
  • Game Flow: Keep time, manage the score, and adjust coaching style to fit the age group.
  • Customer Service: Maintain a positive attitude with parents and coaches.

Requirements

  • Child-Centric Mindset: Patience, engagement, genuine enjoyment of working with younger children (ages 3–8).
  • Sports Background: At least 2 years of experience playing or coaching Soccer, Football, and Baseball.
  • Weekend Availability: Consistent Saturday and Sunday shifts.
  • Transportation: Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.
  • Physicality: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stay active.
  • Background Check: Mandatory National Criminal Background Check required.

Benefits

The payment for this position is based on a game rate structure. As an independent contractor, you will be paid weekly based on the number of games successfully worked, including setup and cleanup blocks. There is no fixed salary or hourly wage for time spent outside of game duties.

Pay

Your total weekly compensation will be the established rate multiplied by the number of games completed (including setup and cleanup blocks).

Schedule

Weekend availability is required, with consistent Saturday and Sunday shifts.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience playing or coaching Soccer, Football, and Baseball.
  • Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle for travel within the cluster.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stay active on the field.

Skills

  • High energy and enthusiasm for working with young children.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Experience with multiple sports (Soccer, Flag Football, Baseball, Basketball, Volleyball).
