About the role
i9 Sports is looking for a high-energy Multi-Sport Instructor to lead our weekend programs. This isn’t just about blowing a whistle; you are there to be a mentor and a role model. You’ll be responsible for teaching the fundamentals of the game in a way that is fun, fair, and encouraging for our youngest athletes.
Responsibilities
- Youth Engagement: Use an inviting, high-energy mindset to keep 3–8 year olds focused and excited.
- On-Field Instruction: Teach drills and fundamentals for Soccer, Flag Football, and Baseball. (Basketball and Volleyball experience is a plus).
- Game Day Logistics: Manage the setup and breakdown of equipment. (Note: Setup/cleanup blocks count as one game toward compensation).
- Game Flow: Keep time, manage the score, and adjust your coaching style to fit the age group on the field.
- Customer Service: Maintain a positive attitude with parents and coaches to ensure a great experience for every family.
- Child-Centric Mindset: You must be patient, engaging, and genuinely enjoy working with younger children (ages 3–8).
- Physicality: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stay active on the field for the duration of the games.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience playing or coaching Soccer, Football, and Baseball.
- Weekend Availability: Must be able to work Saturday and Sunday shifts consistently.
- Transportation: Must have a valid driver’s license and your own reliable vehicle for travel within the cluster.
Qualifications
- Reliable transportation to all cities in this cluster is required.
- Must pass a mandatory National Criminal Background Check.
