Multi-Skilled Technician, Emergency Department, 7a-7p (PCT EXP Required)

About the role

The Multi-Skilled Technician will perform and assist with routine and STAT blood draws, electrocardiograms (EKGs), and provide direct patient care support.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and STAT phlebotomy procedures accurately and efficiently.
• Obtain and document EKGs as ordered.
• Aid nursing staff with patient care activities and clinical procedures.
• Monitor and report patient conditions or concerns to the supervising RN.
• Maintain patient comfort, safety, and dignity at all times.
• Ensure proper specimen collection, labeling, handling, and transportation.
• Maintain equipment and supplies required for patient care, phlebotomy, and EKG procedures.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, safety regulations, and infection prevention standards.
• Support a collaborative, patient-focused healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in patient care, phlebotomy, and EKG performance required.
• Prior hospital experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
• Patient Care Technician certification required.
