Emergency Care Technician Full Time 7p

About the role

The Emergency Care Technician will serve as a supportive member of the patient care team who will assist in routine and non-complex aspects of patient care and other duties to support the operations of the Emergency Department. The ECT will assist the RN in the patient care process.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families as they enter the Emergency Department lobby.
• May have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Successfully completed an accredited EMS Program.
• Successfully passed the Psychomotor Skills Assessment and written exam.
• At least 2 years Advanced Life Support field experience.
• May be cross-trained in a minimum of two job classes (i.e. Monitor Tech, PCT, Lab Tech) with completion of "Dual" competencies.

Qualifications

• EMT licensure required.
• BLS required.

• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software.
