Key Responsibilities

  • Performing scheduled on-site inspections across Northwest locations using documented standards for cleanliness, HVAC systems, safety protocols, security measures, signage, landscaping, furniture condition, and presentation readiness — and ensuring audit findings translate into confirmed corrective measures
  • Responding to facilities problems and urgent situations, coordinating service providers, and closing work orders only after confirming resolution (urgent matters within 24 hours, standard requests within one week)
  • Overseeing regional vendor execution against service-level agreements, transitioning contractors who consistently underdeliver, renegotiating contracts, and conducting direct accountability discussions regarding quality and pricing
  • Establishing a weekly operational rhythm with Campus Coordinators and Site Specialists to ensure campuses follow standardized procedures rather than improvised solutions
  • Overseeing significant campus improvement projects (HVAC system replacements, interior updates, landscaping renovations, AV/network infrastructure) while meeting timelines, budgets, and minimizing student disruption
  • Documenting organization-wide standards and AI-enhanced procurement frameworks (utilizing ticketing platforms, IoT/predictive maintenance systems, and centralized vendor sourcing) to ensure uniform campus launch and operation
  • Delivering concise weekly written summaries covering regional facility quality, vendor execution, escalated issues, and capital expenditure tracking

Basic Requirements

  • Located in the San Francisco Bay Area (strongly preferred) — or another Northwest location: CA, WA, NV, UT, OR, or ID — prepared to work primarily from the Bay Area campus with 30–50% travel throughout the region
  • Authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
  • 5+ years managing multi-site facilities, regional operations, hospitality operations, retail operations, or school operations
  • Documented success holding vendor-managed services accountable for quality standards, cost control, and SLA compliance across multiple sites
  • Hands-on experience addressing urgent facilities challenges (safety, HVAC, security, cleanliness) with measurable impact on customer experience
  • Consistent written operational discipline: issue tracking, escalation documentation, vendor correspondence, weekly regional performance reports
  • PRACTICAL USE OF CONTAINERIZED OPERATIONS PLATFORMS (ticketing systems, IoT/predictive maintenance, AI-supported procurement or planning)

Nice-to-Have Requirements

  • Multi-location operations leadership in premium hospitality, luxury retail, private K–12 education, or healthcare networks serving demanding clientele
  • Experience building or rehabilitating a regional operations framework that previously depended on individual heroics instead of repeatable standards
  • Demonstrated success replacing underperforming contractors and developing a reliable regional vendor network
  • Experience operating in an AI-native environment where playbooks, dashboards, and predictive tools handle routine tasks so personnel concentrate on decision-making
  • Experience leading capital improvement initiatives (HVAC, AV/networking, landscaping, interior renovations) in active, customer-facing facilities
