About the Role

The Multi-Purpose Clerk - Night Crew is responsible for a variety of clerk positions and is cross-trained and internally certified for these roles. Responsibilities include stocking grocery store shelves, pricing new items, offloading shipments, unwrapping, rotating, and packing boxes on an overnight shift. The role also involves order writing, freshness/quality checks, inventory accuracy, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, stock, display, price, and face product
  • Break down loads, including unwrapping, rotating, and packing boxes
  • Order writing and ensuring item-to-tag integrity
  • Report all risks or safety issues to management
  • Ensure proper temperature in cases/coolers
  • Maintain inventory accuracy
  • Minimal operation of cash register
  • Sweep and mop sales floor, front end, back rooms, and refrigerated areas
  • Know the location of the MSDS binder and information about materials used
  • Operate forklift or commercial baler if authorized and certified
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum of three months of experience or equivalent
  • High School diploma or GED, or equivalent experience/training
  • Ability to work overnight shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds without assistance and up to 85 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to carry up to 80 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to push up to 85 lbs and pull up to 92 lbs occasionally
  • Frequent standing and physical movements, including in fluctuating temperatures (e.g., cold rooms, freezers)
  • Ability to operate tools such as step stools, carts, registers, safety cutters, rolling ladders, food preparation equipment, pallet jacks, and cleaning supplies

Pay

Hiring pay range: $17.15 - $26.50 per hour.
