Multi-Purpose Clerk - Grocery (Night Crew) - 659 E. Nees, Fresno, CA 93720

The Save Mart Companies is currently recruiting for the position of Multi-Purpose Clerk - Grocery (Night Crew). Located at 659 E. Nees, Fresno, CA 93720, this role involves a variety of clerical tasks, including stocking shelves, pricing items, offloading shipments, unwrapping, rotating and packing boxes, order writing, freshness/code checking, ensuring item integrity, reporting safety issues, maintaining inventory accuracy, and operating the check stand.

Responsibilities

• Receive, stock, display, and price products.
• Break down loads including unwrapping, rotating, and packing boxes.
• Order writing and item to tag integrity.
• Report all risks or safety issues to management.
• Ensure proper temperature in cases/coolers.
• Maintain inventory accuracy.
• Minimal checking on cash register.
• Sweep and mop sales floor, front end, back rooms, and refrigerated areas.
• Know location of MSDS binder and information about all materials used during work.
• May operate forklift if authorized and certified.
• May operate commercial baler if authorized to compress cardboard.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to push up to 85 lbs on occasion.
• Ability to pull up to 92 lbs on occasion.
• Standing, walking, squatting, kneeling, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, climbing stairs/ladders, lifting up to 40 lbs, carrying up to 20 lbs, fine finger manipulation, gross manipulation, repetitive hand/arm use, operating motor/power vehicle, using protective equipment, and working in varying temperature conditions.

Requirements

• English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Travel expectations: availability to work a variety of retail hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
