Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the plumbing installation and maintenance for multi-family residential buildings.
- Lead and manage plumbing crews, ensuring efficient work flow and adherence to safety protocols.
- Review and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure plumbing systems are installed accurately and according to code.
- Monitor project progress and ensure plumbing work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Work closely with project managers and other superintendents to align timelines and resource needs.
- Conduct regular inspections to verify that all plumbing systems are installed correctly and comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring that necessary materials and equipment are available for timely work progress.
- Manage and resolve any plumbing-related issues that arise during construction, ensuring minimal disruptions to project timelines.
- Maintain strong communication with clients, general contractors, and other stakeholders to provide updates and address concerns.
- Ensure proper safety procedures are followed and that the team complies with all OSHA and company safety guidelines.
- Provide training and mentorship to plumbing apprentices and crew members to ensure skills development and workforce continuity.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in plumbing, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role, specifically in multi-family residential construction.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and best practices.
- Proven experience managing teams and overseeing plumbing projects from start to finish.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to problem-solve and make decisions under pressure.
- Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team development and collaboration.
- Valid plumbing license and relevant certifications are preferred.
