About the role
The Electrical Superintendent oversees and manages the electrical work crew, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. This role serves as a liaison between Tri-City and the General Contractor.
Responsibilities
- Assist in establishing the Project Electrical budget and expediting change orders.
- Schedule and direct the work activities of the job crew.
- Review and document the progress of the project, including quality and quantity of work.
- Coordinate with other trades and the general contractor to resolve conflicts and provide excellent customer service.
- Ensure all installations meet quality and electrical code standards.
- Manage tool control and ensure proper cleaning of the job site.
- Communicate with the Project Manager about priority project problems, such as employee issues or concerns.
- Provide the workforce with current and accurate information from company representatives.
- Estimate material and worker requirements and assist with electrical system installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Maintain compliance with company, department, and technical policies, procedures, and standards.
- Follow company safety measures and enforce the use of safety equipment.
- Participate in safety/incident investigations and reviews.
Requirements
- At least two (2) years of experience managing crews and running projects, and at least 10 years of experience in the electrical trade.
- Knowledge of basic mathematical operations and calculations, reading and understanding blueprints, and in-depth knowledge of NEC, local building codes, industry standards, and job site safety requirements.
- Experience with material and labor costs, excellent communication skills, strong leadership skills, and a strong safety background.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products and proficiency in using Bluebeam, Autodesk Build, and OSHA 30.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bilingual.
- Journeyman Electrical License.
- Valid Florida Driver's license in good standing.
