Multi-Family Assistant Superintendent

Essential Functions

  • Aid in planning and scheduling projects, including creating look-ahead schedules.
  • Coordinate with the superintendent to ensure the project schedule stays on track for projected delivery.
  • Daily, weekly, and monthly manpower scheduling in accordance with the project master schedule.
  • Document, oversee quality control, and maintain safety standards on-site.
  • Receive and inventory all materials procured by GCD.
  • Show superior knowledge of construction processes and possess strong field acumen.
  • Lead through team building and effective communication.
  • Ensure an organized and tidy jobsite.
  • Schedule and facilitate building and site inspections.
  • Prepare and input daily reports and photos in construction software.
  • Assist the Project Superintendent with Quality Control, particularly for framing and interior punch lists.
  • Follow direction from the Project Superintendent and contribute to efficient project delivery.

Qualification Requirements

  • Field experience is highly valued, especially in the multi-family market for at least 5 years.
  • Significant experience with commercial construction activities in the field, including superior construction knowledge, personal management skills, scheduling expertise, and cost control procedures.
  • Excellent knowledge and use of cost control procedures and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Working knowledge of email and Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to use other job-related technology tools.
  • OSHA, LEED, and other professional accreditations are preferred but not required.
