Multi-Duty Receptionist - Maryville Family Medicine (8:00 am-5:00 pm)

Maryville Family Medicine, a division of Summit Medical Group, is seeking an experienced Multi-Duty Receptionist to join their passionate, authentic, and growing team of professionals.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Responsibilities

• Answers phone calls in a professional manner and assists callers’ needs appropriately.
• Greets patients and visitors promptly, courteously, and helpfully.
• Checks in patients, verifies and updates necessary information in medical records/database, performs all registration functions, and collects copays and balances due.
• Assists patients with ambulatory difficulties or other needs, as appropriate.
• Schedules appointments, handles referrals, and completes pre-certifications.
• Files charts and coordinates lab work, as requested.
• Sorts and delivers mail, medical records, and other correspondence.
• Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner.
• Demonstrates dependable attendance and punctuality; notifies supervisor at least two weeks in advance for time off (excluding emergencies).
• Cooperates and helps coworkers as needed, contributing to team success.
• Attends required meetings.
• Maintains strictest confidentiality, both internally and externally.
• Adheres to the corporate compliance plan and policies.
• Actively participates in site-level Quality Improvement Activities, contributing to performance evaluation and implementation of improvement measures.
• Performs related work as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of experience in a medical office setting preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, time management, and organization.
• Ability to build trust through active listening and collaboration.
• Team-first mindset with a desire to help others and motivation to pursue excellence.
