Multi-Craft Maintenance Tech

About the role

This is a multi-craft industrial maintenance position. It does not involve grounds or facility maintenance, mechanics, electrical work, fabrication, or HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repairs and installations
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints
• Work with Maintenance and Plant Supervisors to complete tasks
• Work overtime and weekends as needed
• Work a 2-2-3 schedule with Saturdays and Sundays as standard workdays
• Work in a non-climate controlled environment
• Pass pre-employment skills testing, background check, physical, and drug screening

Requirements

• At least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Post-high school certification required
• Maintenance Technical Certification from a technical college required
• Formal and on-the-job training in electrical and basic electronics, AC/DC drives, PLC controllers, basic hydraulics, and pneumatics

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in the mechanical field
• Willingness to work in a non-climate controlled environment
• Ability to make decisions and work with supervisors
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends
• Willingness to work a 2-2-3 shift with Saturdays and Sundays as standard workdays
• Willingness to work in a non-climate controlled environment

Pay and Schedule

The starting range is from $28.59 to $38.07 per hour, plus a .75 shift premium. The top-out pay for a lead person is $45.20. The schedule is 2-2-3, meaning working every other weekend (Saturday, Sunday, Monday is a weekend).
