About the role
The Multi Cell Operator on the third shift (12:00 am - 8:00 am) is responsible for operating and learning a range of equipment within a designated area to support jacket cells. This includes shielders, twinners, small and large tape wrappers, and respooling equipment. Operators are expected to be proficient in running multiple types of equipment based on order demands and to adjust as needed, moving between machines according to backlog or supervisor instructions.
Responsibilities
- Follow all safety rules and report unsafe situations or equipment immediately
- Operate and learn multiple machines (shielders, twinners, tape wrappers, respooling equipment)
- Adjust between machines based on order demands, backlog, or supervisor instructions
- Perform essential duties satisfactorily to meet production demands
Requirements
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn and operate multiple machines
- Proficient in using a micrometer
- Knowledgeable with in-process testing procedures for manufacturing
- Excellent time management skills to meet production demands efficiently
- Strong communication and people skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
