About the role

This position requires spending more than 80% of your time outside the office, focusing on meeting new people and helping people finance homes.

Responsibilities

  • Sourcing leads for mortgage home loans
  • Meet with perspective borrowers to obtain loan applications, explain the process, fees, and available programs
  • Analyze perspective borrowers' financial status by obtaining necessary paperwork and notifying them of credit reports and appraisals
  • Submit completed applications and confer with underwriters to resolve mortgage application concerns
  • Advise borrowers on underwriting decisions and work with them and underwriters to meet underwriting conditions
  • Work with processors and borrowers to reconstruct loans under different programs if necessary
  • Cook up and sign loan closings, order loan documents, and assist borrowers in the closing process

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • One to two years related experience and/or training
  • Proficiency with Windows-based software
  • The ability to drive a car or obtain other reliable transportation
  • Effective communication skills, including speaking, reading, writing, and interpreting documents and reports
  • Competent math skills
  • Registration under the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) upon hire
  • Self-motivation and attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment

Qualifications, Competencies And Skills
