About the role

This position requires spending more than 80% of your time outside the office, focusing on meeting new people and helping people finance homes.

Responsibilities

Sourcing leads for mortgage home loans
Meet with perspective borrowers to obtain loan applications, explain the process, fees, and available programs
Analyze perspective borrowers' financial status by obtaining necessary paperwork and notifying them of credit reports and appraisals
Submit completed applications and confer with underwriters to resolve mortgage application concerns
Advise borrowers on underwriting decisions and work with them and underwriters to meet underwriting conditions
Work with processors and borrowers to reconstruct loans under different programs if necessary
Cook up and sign loan closings, order loan documents, and assist borrowers in the closing process

Requirements

A high school diploma or GED
One to two years related experience and/or training
Proficiency with Windows-based software
The ability to drive a car or obtain other reliable transportation
Effective communication skills, including speaking, reading, writing, and interpreting documents and reports
Competent math skills
Registration under the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) upon hire
Self-motivation and attention to detail
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment

Qualifications, Competencies And Skills
