Position Overview
We are seeking a fully competent Instrumentation & M&TE (Measuring and Test Equipment) Senior Technician to plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate detailed phases of M&TE technical work. In this role, you will work independently to execute technical designs, resolve complex technical conflicts, and apply advanced M&TE practices across plant operations. This role requires a broad knowledge of specialty standards, sound technical judgment, and the ability to adapt, modify, or devise new approaches to solve non-standard technical problems in high-consequence environments.
Responsibilities
- Technical Planning & Execution: Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate detailed phases of M&TE technical work and instrumentation projects.
- System Design & Optimization: Perform independent work involving the technical design of instrumentation M&TE concepts, evaluating suitability of materials, and resolving complex coordination or conflicting technical requirements.
- Methodology & Problem Solving: Apply independent judgment to evaluate, select, adapt, and modify standard techniques, procedures, and criteria; devise innovative approaches to emergent technical challenges.
- Team Leadership & Guidance: Direct, coordinate, and oversee the work of junior technicians and support personnel assigned to specific tasks or projects.
- Compliance & Safety: Maintain strict adherence to plant procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements in all technical assignments.
Requirements
- Education: Associate Degree from an accredited curriculum (or equivalent combination of education and technical experience).
- Experience: Sufficient professional experience as a fully trained, competent technician in instrumentation and M&TE functional areas.
- Technical Expertise: Broad knowledge of precedents and standards within M&TE instrumentation, along with solid familiarity with related cross-functional technical disciplines.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Unescorted Nuclear Plant Access.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain S-3 and S-4 Medical Qualifications (when applicable).
- Willingness and ability to assume rotational on-call duty (24/7 availability) as assigned.
- Willing and medically able to work rotating shifts and maximum overtime permitted by procedure during peak operational or outage periods.
- Willingness and ability to travel to various plant locations as required, including potential temporary field reassignments.

Pay
$38.00/HR
Schedule
Full-Time (1 MONTH CONTRACT)
