MSS OE / BTU Account Manager

About the role
The Account Manager’s responsibilities are to manage customer relationships, sales, customer product portfolio, business development, and marketing efforts that support profitable sales growth of MAHLE Service Solutions products. The role focuses on overcoming highly competitive market conditions while developing the OE and Buy to Use customer channels, with a primary focus on the North American region (US, Mexico, Canada) while supporting MSS globally as needed.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage customer relationships to generate sales and long-term accounts and contracts.
- Manage and develop existing accounts, negotiate contracts, and leverage the value of the MAHLE brand to secure new business.
- Conduct market research to determine appropriate new products, promotions, and selling activities to develop additional business, in conjunction with the Marketing team.
- Educate and support customers on MAHLE products.
- Work cross-functionally with groups such as Production, Product Management, Marketing, etc., to support customer needs.
- Oversee pricing strategy for customers and market channels.
- Make recommendations on overall strategy and management of the OE / Buy to Use markets.
Requirements
- Automotive Aftermarket and/or OE experience is preferred.
- Strong understanding of the aftermarket Buy to Use / OE markets, as well as additional knowledge of Aftermarket WD, Retailer, etc.
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills, with the ability to identify and sell win-win scenarios.
- Strong time management, organization, and project management skills.
- Results-oriented, self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
- Maintains a comprehensive, technical understanding of product offerings.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, interfacing with managers, vendors, and customers; ability to analyze, interpret, and write business correspondence.
