About the role

Mexican Sugar is seeking a Server to join our team. We are looking for passionate individuals who can provide exceptional service and create a memorable experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

• Possess a passion for service that is comforting, effortless, warm, and always available to the guest.
• Know the origins, pronunciations, and ingredients of our menu items.
• Recommend the perfect drinks for the occasion, including handcrafted margaritas, red wines, and our tequila library.
• Create regular guests through resort-style service that is bilingual and detailed, but not stuffy or pretentious.
• Inspire your teammates to ask you for help.
• Understand the balance between great service and efficiency.

Requirements

• Minimum two (2) years serving experience; high-end casual or fine dining preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English. Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish is a plus.
• Stand for long periods and be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Properly use a knife and other equipment required to execute necessary tasks.
• Maintain a current Food Handler's Certification and TABC Certification; practice proper sanitation procedures and follow regulations regarding alcohol sale and service.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
