MRO Inventory Coordinator

Moline, IL – typical work schedule is Monday – Friday; workdays and hours may vary based on critical business demand. Overtime may be required.

About the role

The MRO Inventory Coordinator manages the procurement, inventory control, and distribution of maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) materials required to support plant operations. This role works closely with maintenance teams, vendors, and operations personnel to ensure critical parts, tools, PPE, and supplies are available when needed. The position combines purchasing responsibilities with inventory management, storeroom organization, and maintenance planning support to maximize equipment uptime and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Purchase maintenance parts, tools, PPE, and shop supplies.
• Maintain inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stocked items.
• Kit and stage parts for maintenance work orders.
• Update the CMMS with part availability, order status, and estimated delivery dates.
• Manage vendor relationships, purchase orders, and order tracking activities.
• Ensure maintenance technicians have the required materials available for planned work.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and audits.
• Organize and maintain an efficient, clean, and accurate storeroom environment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory management and maintenance operations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (BA) from a four-year college or university and/or equivalent.
• Five years of related maintenance experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.
• Computer skills, database knowledge, and solid communication skills to interact with internal customers and external vendors.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Maximo, OnPoint, Costpoint, and Microsoft Suite.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
• Regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladders, stepladders, and stairs at least 10 times during shift.
• Flexibility to bend/stoop, squat repetitively during shift.
• Regularly kneel repetitively for shift.
• Ability to move in a 90-degree fashion on a repetitive basis for shift.
• Ability to stretch/reach on a repetitive basis for shift.
• Walk extensively throughout the plant during shift.
• Use of a Company/Client approved utility knife.
• Ability to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding.
• Repetitive wrist movement for some tasks.

Special Requirements

• Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.
• Cope with job-related stressors to maintain acceptable levels of performance and contribution.

Other Attributes

• Willingness to work overtime when required.
• May be required to work holidays and weekends.

Pay

$29 – $31 per hour.
