MRI Technologist - Up to $11,250 Sign-On Bonus
About the role
We are seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team at the University of Minnesota Medical Center - West Bank Campus. This is a .75 FTE (60 hours per 2 weeks) position that will work 5, 12-hour rotating shifts between 9AM - 9:30PM. Our MRI team supports adult and pediatric patients across a broad range of specialties and works closely with radiologists, physicians, nurses, anesthesia teams, and other clinical partners throughout the hospital. This is a great opportunity for a technologist looking to grow professionally, expand beyond the scanner, and take on additional responsibility while remaining hands-on clinically. This benefit-eligible position is also eligible for a sign-on bonus, prorated based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Maintains and prioritizes work to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Performs individualized, compassionate patient care
- Communicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam
- Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol
- Applies established professional guidelines and standards to complex, routine, and non-routine diagnostic testing procedures
Required Qualifications
- Technical Certificate or Associate of Science in Radiology
- ARRT Radiology Tech
- Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous healthcare experience
- Previous Lead MRI Technologist experience
- 1 year experience in a related role
- Additional certifications in Imaging
- ARRT MRI certification or successful completion within 1-1/2 Yrs
- Strong interpersonal skills
