MRI Technologist - PRN

About the role

This role involves operating MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images under the supervision of a Radiologist, following established protocols. The technician provides patient care across all age groups, ensuring safety and comfort during procedures.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to determine eligibility and obtain informed consent
• Prepare and administer contrast media as required
• Operate MRI equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images
• Manipulate images for optimal quality and diagnostic value
• Maintain accurate records of procedures and patient information
• Schedule exams and manage supplies
• Assist with invasive procedures as needed
• Demonstrate MRI techniques to students and staff

Requirements

• Post-secondary training in radiologic technology
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) registration
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Preferred experience in MRI technology
