About the role
This role involves operating MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images under the supervision of a Radiologist, following established protocols. The technician provides patient care across all age groups, ensuring safety and comfort during procedures.
Responsibilities
- Interview patients to determine eligibility and obtain informed consent
- Prepare and administer contrast media as required
- Operate MRI equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images
- Manipulate images for optimal quality and diagnostic value
- Maintain accurate records of procedures and patient information
- Schedule exams and manage supplies
- Assist with invasive procedures as needed
- Demonstrate MRI techniques to students and staff
Requirements
- Post-secondary training in radiologic technology
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) registration
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Preferred experience in MRI technology
