About the role
This PRN (as-needed) position is responsible for performing diagnostic MRI procedures, patient preparation, safety screenings, and supporting departmental workflow. The role requires independently conducting MRI exams on both adult and pediatric patients.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and equipment for MRI procedures
- Perform MRI studies independently, including portable and on-call exams
- Ensure MRI safety and compliance with protocols
- Support quality control measures within the department
Requirements
- Associate degree or higher in a related field
- Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R)) and/or MR
- Preferred experience of less than 2 years in radiology or medical imaging
Qualifications
- IEMA (Illinois) certification (advantageous)
- Additional credentials such as CPR and IV therapy (advantageous)
Skills
- Knowledge of MRI safety and procedures
- Ability to work independently
- Strong patient care skills
- Familiarity with advanced imaging modalities
