MRI Technologist (PRN)

Christian Hospital (11133 Dunn Rd., St. Louis, MO) is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to work as needed in a day shift role. This position supports patient care, department workflow, patient prep, MRI safety screenings, and performing MRI exams.

Northwest HealthCare, six miles west of Christian Hospital, offers 24-hour emergency care, a Sleep Disorders Center, and outpatient diagnostic and imaging services. The MRI department features a Siemens 1.5T Magnetom Symphony scanner with a bright, open procedure room and same-day service availability.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients and equipment for diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Performs studies independently, including on-call situations, portable exams, and at other sites as required.
• Conducts MRI safety screenings and preps patients for exams.
• Supports department workflow and patient care.

Requirements

• Associate degree or higher in a related field.
• Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R)) and/or MR.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred:

• MRI, CT, Radiography (X-ray), or Medical Imaging.
• Special Procedures, Interventional Radiology, or Advanced Modality Technologist roles.
• Recent graduates or students in clinicals for Radiology or related fields.
• Certifications such as ARRT (R, CT, MR, M, BD, CI, VI), ARMRIT, RCIS, or RCES.
• Less than 2 years of experience in a relevant role.
• Certifications in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Intravenous Therapy.
