About the Role

The MRI Technologist performs high-quality diagnostic imaging specifically for MRI procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Responsibilities include preparing the MRI room, operating equipment per safety standards, processing images, maintaining supplies, and adhering to sterile techniques. The role requires knowledge of contrast agents, radiation safety, and infection control, with a focus on accurate patient identification and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Perform clinical MRI procedures with proper positioning and technique.
  • Evaluate and develop images, ensuring proper identification and quality.
  • Provide patient education, address concerns, and promote a positive experience.
  • Ensure safety standards for radiation and contrast media use.
  • Maintain equipment, supplies, and a clean work environment.
  • Adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory policies.
  • Input accurate patient information into computer systems and manage scheduling.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Radiologic Technologist Certification or ARRT Certification in MRI.
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist (Washington) and Basic Life Support certification.
  • Knowledge of MRI procedures, safety practices, and infection control.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year of MRI experience.
  • Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
